Brightside Mentoring 

Brightside Mentoring is an online platform where they connect trained mentors with young people who are exploring options for their future.

Esther provided online mentoring with various Colleges and Universities, which they had the opportunity to learn about a sector of their interest including learning about career and education pathways and employability skills.

This will include goal setting, discussing home working and digital learning, helping them prepare for potentially moving away from home and settling into university life and thinking about their future careers after higher education.

​

Young people to make confident and informed decisions. As a mentor, you will use your knowledge and experience to support your mentee to explore a particular sector or education route and work through activities with them to build their skills.

These projects enables young people with an interest in this particular sector to understand:
 

  • Routes into the sector

  • Roles within the sector

  • Workplace culture and professionalism

  • Career progression

  • Skills required for the industry
